good morning, and happy monday! the funny thing is that i actually feel happy this morning! (and that's pretty rare for a monday!) my weekend was just so fun and refreshing... i am totally ready to tackle the week!
on friday evening, i picked up a pizza and met steve at his workplace for dinner. how nice to get a little extra time with him! as i was leaving, though, i had a window-malfunction in my car on the passenger side. it got totally jammed! steve tried to fix it, but he really had to get back to work, so i was left to figure this thing out on my own. normally, it wouldn't be a huge deal to leave the window down but A) it's not a good idea to leave your window down when you have to park your car outside in town, and B) it was raining. SO, i did what any girl would do -- i drove to mom and dad's house.
dad was actually stuck in traffic somewhere between D.C. and Lancaster, so mom and i dissected my car door in their garage. we unscrewed everything (trying very hard to remember which screws went where), removed the door panel, jiggled a few things here and there, added some grease, etc.. and wouldn't you know, we fixed it! well, kind of. at least the window is up now. (steve will have to really fix it sometime in the near future.) but hey, i thought mom and i did a pretty awesome job!steve was down at the air force base on saturday, so i had a pretty chill day to myself. ran a few errands... stopped at a friend's house for a visit... got groceries... AND made a lush dinner for steve when he got home. (steak, potatoes, wine, candles... the whole nine yards!) no special occasion. i was just in the mood to cook. he was very surprised! after dinner, we went on a long walk through town and then stopped for ice cream. nice!
then on sunday, we attended Family and Friend's Day down at steve's air force base. we invited mom, dad, keri, nathan, and mason to come too. it was a HUGE event! everyone had a great time!

mason enjoyed the planes, but i think he favorite part was exploring the fire engines!

i also enjoyed holding some pretty serious weaponry.steve and i wrapped up the weekend by spending the evening at the park. the weather was gorgeous, so steve flew his kite while i took a few laps. nice!
much get back to work! we are hopping with edits and final reviews! but at least we're in the home stretch! have a great monday everyone!

My door did the same thing. Gabe and I took it apart, put it together, forgot a part, took it apart again, put it back together. It was awful.

My back window has been cracked open for about a month now - won't budge. Don't know if I am as brave as you to try and take it apart any time soon....so cracked open it will stay until Dan can look at it. Loved your pictures from the weekend! Mason is soooo stinking cute! Especially loved the ginormous gun picture

@bethelaine - oh! yes!! I did!! and i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT. THAAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU. I was waiting to say something until i actually sent a real thank you note (which is sitting in my pile with your gift to be mailed tomorrow. :)). I'm pretty sure i jumped up & down when I got it. And Megan & Pete sent the same thing...so I had big bucks to spend. hot dog! which I already spent some of....a shutterfly shipment came yesterday, actually, so now we finally have an 8x10 picture of CKB on the wall with the other 2. :) yay. thankyou.
