wow, thursday already?! i had expected this week to drag on and on because of my excitement for our upcoming vacation. but work has been so busy that i blinked and BAM! -- the week is nearly over. that was a nice surprise!
despite my busy days at work, the evenings have actually been pretty chill. i've had ample time to prep for our trip, so hopefully i won't feel too stressed come saturday morning when we load up the mazda and head east to the jersey shore. it's kind of ridiculous how much planning / coordination goes into vacationing. (and i imagine that it increases exponentially once children enter the picture!) but it's all totally worth it. i need a mental break in a BIG way! plus, i'm positively filled with glee that i get to spend an entire week with steve! and my family! and some relatives! it's going to be sweet.
unfortunately, the extended forecast is currently calling for rain every.single.day, but what can you do? just make the most of it, i guess... i foresee lengthy tournaments of dutch blitz, dominoes, and rummy.
all right, gotta run! have a fantastic thursday!

Oooh, that sounds like the perfect way to spend a week! Have so much fun just enjoying your time with Steve!
Thought of you when we were in Philly and Jersey last week!
Woohoo for Dutch Blitz!
Glad this week is flying by for you! hope next week goes as slow as molasses
Hope you have a wonderful time away, even if it is raining.
have fun!!
We'll be about 2 hours from you, if that. :)
we might even be driving the same highway at the same time on Saturday, or not. I don't really know.
by the way, i never commented on the pictures--but steve's motorcycle is AWESOME! It's so classic looking. YOu should take that to the shore instead!
@faithchick - one of these days when you come to PA, we're actually going to have to meet up! (i want you to take me to matt's cousin's(?) chocolate shop / bakery. ever since you showed us pictures of that place, i've been dying to go!)
and thanks for your compliments on the bike! i've never been crazy about motorcycles, but i love the classic / retro feel of this one. steve actually doesn't have his motorcycle license yet, so hopefully next year we'll be able to drive it to the beach! (well... he'll drive it to the beach and i'll follow in the car with all of the luggage.)
@bethelaine - you're on! i would definitely go with you there someday (yep, matt's cousin)! I actually forgot that we get to go to the choc. shop til just now---can't wait to get soooooome!
I love the mental picture of you following steve in the car. It makes me crack up. really--real live LOLing.
Happy vacation! It sounds fabulous!
Hope you have a wonderful vacation. Sounds like you are going to have a great time.
Have a great time in NJ! I love the shore. :)
You AND Jess gone at the same time, wow! Have a great trip!
Hi B.E.! Hope you're doing well! Enjoy the fab vacation that you have planned. I just love playing games with family - it's so much fun.
Also - Steve's bike is beautiful! I cannot show it to my husband. He's been wanting a bike that looks sort of like that, but in matte black, forever! He hasn't mentioned it recently, but I'm sure once he caught sight of Steve's beauty (the bike, not Steve's actual beauty - haha) he would pull the catalogue out again and start wishing!
Also, how are things going with you and Steve and your work schedules? It's been forever since I've read - but I've remembered to pray for you! I hope you have a restful time next week, and enjoy being on the same schedule for a while!
